Saratovdizelapparat has begun implementing a project to modernize production and update the fleet of machine tools.

"Due to market conditions in the Russian engineering industry, by the beginning of 2022, more than 90% of hydraulic components were imported. The restructuring of supply chains forced strategic manufacturers of special and automotive equipment in Russia to look for new suppliers.

One of the key activities of Saratovdizelapparat is the production of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment units for dump trucks, agricultural and road construction equipment. The share of these products in the turnover of the enterprise is 88%.

"Over the past four months, the plant has been receiving requests to multiply the supply of mass-produced products and accelerate the introduction of a new, import-substituting one. For example, the demand for hydraulic locks similar to Italian increased by 70%, and for components of the valve group ─ by 48%. To date, the plant's production capacity is 100% loaded, " ─ said Vitaly Tsyvanyuk, General Director of Saratovdizelapparat.

To ensure a rapid increase in production volumes and an expansion of the range of products, the company began modernization of production. The project includes updating production areas and increasing the machine fleet by 15 units.

In June, Saratovdizelapparat received the first batch of high-precision equipment ─ vertical milling machining centers with numerical program control. Commissioning of new machines will increase the production of import-substituting components by 40%. Retrofitting production sites will also help improve workers' working conditions.

In accordance with the plant development plan, the first stage of modernization should be completed by the end of 2022.
